As parents we need to recognize the power of informal learning, and why when children learn by doing they acquire; values, standards of excellence, and a resonant sense of who they are, and where they are.

The Book of Discovery is a guide to the past and a compilation of traditions and life experiences that can still be discovered and experienced firsthand by those who choose to partake in the adventure.

What better way to convey to children the cultural nature of their community and the region than through hands-on experience. The world we live in is a living museum that allows our children to have primary experiences in an interactive and real environment, and experiential learning is an important element in developing a respect and love of place, and contributes to children developing strong affective ties to the place they inhabit.
